I got this watch for my wife about 1 year ago. She loved it and still does; however, my only complaint is the rose gold color starts to wear off after wearing it for about 6 months. She didn't wear it every day, and the color started to wear off and silver started to show through. I bought this MK watch for my Mom for Christmas this year. It looks VERY nice on her arm, is easy to set and the crystal is very clear. This watch is just beautiful. The only complaint I have is the clasp on the back is very large. If you have a thin wrist it seems a little stiff and bulky. MK has changed the way they design their clasp. The old way was much better as I have a white ceramic that closes together from both sides and it fits smoothly on your wrist. I gave this watch 4 stars just because of the clasp.

Invicta Women's 0727 Ceramic Chronograph Diamond Accented Mother of Pearl Ceramic Watch Review

Really like this watch and well worth the money spent - have only had it around a month but seems to be holding up nicely. Also bought the Invicta watch band tool kit ($8.99 I think) and my husband was able to remove the extra links. I have been wearing it non-stop - shower, etc. without removal. The face is quite pretty with the mother of pearl. The only reason that I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the watch hands are so similarly colored to the rest of the watch that sometimes I really have to squint to tell the time (silver & white hands on silver + white face). The hands do have some kind of glow in the dark element that shows if the lights are turned out but I don't believe it lasts too long.

This watch face is the perfect size in my opinion - not too big or small (I am medium boned around 120 lbs). Shows up nicely but not too unwieldly large either. I tried on a few ceramic watches at Nordstroms in the 40 - 42 mm range and they just seem ginormous! This one seems just right. The golden colored subdials add to the look but they really are so tiny that I am not looking at them for any of the functions that they offer. Even the date is quite tiny and challenging to read. I am taking these trade-offs as the overall watch size is appealing.

Timex Women's T5K460 1440 Sports Blue Resin Digital Watch Review

I think it's sort of silly for me, a grown woman, to be in love with a plastic watch, but there you go.

I *love* this watch. I love the color, which is a tiny bit darker than in the photo.

I love the size, which is not small, but not giant, either. I wanted a nice, readable, chunky watch that didn't look like I was wearing a hubcap on my arm but also didn't look like a dainty little girls' watch, either. The 1440 is perfect. It looks sporty and modern.

I love how easy it is to use- Timex watches are always a bit tricky to set because they have so *many* functions, but I was able to get it set and on my wrist a couple of minutes after getting it out of the shipping box.

I love how durable it is- I swim five miles a day and I garden, so I needed an inexpensive watch that could take tons of moisture, sun exposure, water submersion, exposure to scratchy twigs, and all around rough-housing and continue to work, and the Timex fits the bill.

Trust me, I know in time the color of the watch will fade, the silver paint will chip off, and the band will most likely yellow (most Timex watches, especially those with the "gelly" plastic bands do this...) but for what I paid for it, it's totally worth it. I have splurged on some high-end watches and they all have wound up not working (the water exposure is too much for even divers watches) so paying under twenty for a watch that I love the looks of and then getting a year or two out of it is fine by me.

This is not a timepiece you will pass on to your kids, it's basically a disposable watch that you only have to replace every few years. If you purchase it knowing that, you'll be very happy.

Casio - G-Shock watch X-Large Series - GA-100B-4A Review

I've been checking around for quite a while (you could check my cookies on fire fox) for a decent red G-Shock but when I saw this one on Casio's website my search instantly ended, and I was certainty not disappointed. Although it's x-large it feels natural when I have it on; furthermore the form factor on this watch is outstanding. The only thing I can say is probably the picture shows it to be bright red when in fact it's a super nicer satin/flat deeper red finish; I mean everything matches from the band to the face the red is spot on. As for features it's got all the word time and stop watch features rolled into a shock, magnetic and water resistant wrist watch; it's a G-Shock after all, but I didn't expect the the mach speed display to be so cool to play around with. But those things don't seem to matter as I'm sure you're gonna be like me and just want a nice red watch.

Polar FT40 Women's Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Black) Review

This is my second Polar Heart Rate Monitor. The first, a cute pink F6 met my needs as a beginner in the exercise world. I'm in my mid 40s and have had a sedentary lifestyle so I really needed to monitor my heart rate. I alos wanted to know how many calories I was burning during a workout. The F6 did this and only this. Now that I am exercising more regularly, I wanted more and that is what the FT40 gives me. First, I can change the battery myself without sending the watch back to Polar. Second, the transmitter and strap are two pieces and you can remove the transmitter when you aren't working out so you save on battery life. It's also easier to wear the strap and know that you have it on correctly.

The features in this monitor that weren't on the basic F6 include fitness/fat burning monitors, percentage of fat burned during the workout and the ability to upload your results to the polar website, giving you instant feedback on your progress. It also includes a fitness level test that you can perform periodically. The images on the screen are large and easy to read. While working out you can view a summary of the stats or loop through each individual stat. If you hold the watch close to the transmitter, it will switch briefly from the stats to the current time. If you want to target a workout to be strictly fatburning, you can use your monitor to control the intensity of your workout. The same goes for a fitness workout.

After a couple of workouts, the transmitter was not working well and I replaced the battery. This was unnecessary. The transmitter and strap needed to be thoroughly cleaned after each workout, not just rinsed as I had been doing.

There are many more features as you look at the various Polar products available and I have friends who own the top of the line as well as the entry level monitors and all are pleased with the quality of their purchase.

NOTE: You will need to purchase the upload device (FlowLink) to make use of the polar website. I purchased mine from Amazon at the same time I bought my monitor and my coworkers and I share the device.

For you women who want something "pretty", the band reflects the light, making it sparkle. There are also flowers embossed on the band and printed around the face of the watch. I didn't notice these features when I looked at the images on Amazon. I would have preferred a different color than black, but at least they tried to make it look pretty.

Citizen Women's EW1544-53A Eco-Drive Silhouette Sport Two-Tone Watch Review

I had another Citizen eco-drive watch for about 11 years. The first one had actually failed on me after one year, but Citizen repaired it quickly for only the price of shipping, even though I didn't have the receipt anymore-- So kudos the customer support of Citizen. That watch actually still works today, but, I just got tired of it after 11 years (I'm the type to wear one watch 24-7, I don't switch). Besides, it was from my ex-husband and I'm remarried so I wanted something new anyway! I received this one about a week ago and I keep admiring it on my wrist, and I look forward to owning it for many years. Of course I needed it to be resized but the local department store did it for only $10, so no big deal.
Not having had to change a battery for over 10 years is a nice thing, especially when a watch is water-resistant and you don't want to have to mess with that just to change a battery.
