This is the 3rd Citizen Eco-Drive watch I have purchased. I waited for years for my first one to die so I could get another watch, but the watch is still going. I finally bought another Citizen Eco-Drive watch because I wanted a different style and realized the value of the eco-drive system. I've never, ever replaced batteries and they just keep going. This watch looks great. It's hard to find a stylish watch with a larger size that doesn't have the date on it (which I hate to maintain) and the look and feel of this one is great.

I'm happy with the watch's appearance. It's unique and elegant without being too flashy. So far every thing's good.

A little warning is that the blue tool sold on amazon to remove watch links will not work with this. I had to find that out the hard way. I used a tiny screw driver (VERY TINY, more tiny than the ones that come with a glasses repair kit) to remove the links. If you don't have the tools then you will have to go have your local jeweler do it for a fee.

Will update on quality if anything happens.

UPDATE 8/28/11: Just want to update that I have been wearing this everyday and left it on during showers but nothing is wrong with the watch so far. It still looks like it did the day got it.

UPDATE 1/9/12: Increased from 4 to 5 stars because this baby is still going strong and looking new.

UPDATE: 8/25/12: Well this watch finally gave out. The face cover of the watch fell off and there are noticeable scratches where I often bump my arms into the wall and random places. The watch still runs, but obviously no longer usable lol. For the price I paid I guess it wasn't a bad investment.

There is no question that Citizen has really been trying to keep with the times on the better in designed watches. While many ladies' watches have been more dominant with brands like Michael Kors' and Guess?, Citizen has tried to step it up. They have failed badly with the Drive series, but this one makes up with this crystal accented Chronograph. This timepiece actually looks elegant. Having the simplicity of Citizen's other watches, with the bigger designed boyfriend face, with a hint of mother of pearl in the watch. What I also like about the watch is that it is very easy to read, I also like it that it handles very well. It definitely is one of Citizen's better looking ladies' watches. While I do wish that there could have been better water resistance in the piece to match some of their other watches, but this one does handle nicely. I sugest you get this one, over one of those major fashion brand watches.

Skagen Women's 233SSS Silver Tone Mesh Watch Review

I have had this watch since May 2003. I am usually very rough on watches but this THIN watch is very durable. It has gone for a swim with me in Maine and snorkled off Sarasota. It washes dishes and takes showers with me. Heck, it has even been in a serious snowball fight (and I don't wear gloves). And without missing a beat, it has joined me for creative pitches in the boardrooms of several large corporations - no need for me to wear a more stylish watch - this one IS! It's comfortable and easy to put on and take off and goes with anything. I was a die-hard Fossil fan before this watch but the designs of their watches in the last year or so have been a real turn-off. I've ha tons of compliments on this watch and can't recommend it highly enough. Skagen is up and coming and could very well give Fossil and Swatch a run for their money by appealing to their more design-conscious market with Tisot/Movado style at a very reasonable price.
